Police respond to ‘sudden deaths’ of two people in Cole Harbour

The RCMP says there’s no risk to the public as officers respond to the sudden deaths of two people at a home in Cole Harbour.

According to the Mounties, officers were called to a home on Poplar Drive at about 9 a.m. Monday where two people were found dead.

“At this time, the investigation is in its very early stages. We can confirm that there’s no public safety risk,” police wrote in a post on X.

Not much information has been released, but police confirmed the two people knew one another.

The RCMP said a heavy police presence could be expected through the day as the investigation continued.
