In a release to the media, HRM says the last person still living at the park was removed without incident Friday morning with the help of Halifax Regional Police. The city says housing and homeless staff will continue to offer resources and support to this person. The park’s paths remain open, but other areas are fenced off while cleanup work continues. As for Grande Parade, the city says three people are currently living in the park. Municipal staff and Street Navigators continue to work with these individuals, offering them both support and services. Work is underway with the province to find indoor alternatives for them.
