Police look for suspect in drug store robbery

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a Canada Day robbery at a Spring Garden Road pharmacy.

Police say a man stole merchandise from the Shoppers Drug Mart just before 3 p.m. on July 1 and threatened employees as he ran off.

The suspect was seen jumping into what’s being described as a gold/silver sedan that was waiting nearby.

He’s described as white, around 5’9″ with grey hair and a beard. He had been wearing a green hooded sweater, shorts, a dark ball cap and white sunglasses.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
