On Oct. 10 just shy of 10 a.m., officers responded to a well-being check at Quingate Place in Halifax, where they found a deceased women. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service quickly ruled the death a homicide and police stated they did not believe the incident was random. Jonathan William Pinsky, 41, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his mother, Delina Pinsky, 71. He will remain in custody for the weekend before appearing in court on Tuesday Oct. 15.
