Police launch homicide investigation after man dies of injuries in Halifax

Regional police say a homicide investigation has begun after a man was killed in Halifax on Wednesday morning.

According to officers, they were called just after 11 a.m. to the 2400 block of Gottingen Street, to reports of an injured man.

Police say the man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

HRP has not offered any detail around the man’s injuries, or any information on potential suspects.

Gottingen Street is closed between North and Cunard streets as police investigate.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to reach out to police.

This is the sixth homicide in HRM this year.
