Police investigate robbery at Dartmouth pizzeria

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a pizzeria robbery that occurred in Dartmouth on Thursday night.

At 9 p.m. on Nov. 11, police responded to a report of the robbery at Shawarman Pizza and Subs at 342 Windmill Rd. in Tufts Cove.

“A man entered the store, threatened the employee with a firearm and demanded cash,” an HRP news release says. “The suspect took a quantity of cash and fled on foot on Trinity Avenue.”

HRP adds that the employee was not injured in the robbery.

The man is described as white, in his 20s and around 5’8″ tall.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a camouflage face mask and black pants.
