Police investigate alleged sexual assault near Camp Hill Cemetery

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred Thursday in Halifax.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the area of the Camp Hill Cemetery at 1600 South Park Street around 6:15 p.m. on July 27.

Police say a man allegedly approached a woman who was not known to him and touched her in a sexual manner.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s, approximately 5’8″ tall with a greying goatee and wearing a red shirt, blue shorts and flip flops.

No further details are being released out of respect and concern for the victim’s privacy and well-being.
