Halifax Regional Police are hoping those with information about a man’s murder 28 years ago will finally come forward and speak with them.
Shane Darrell Siddle was admitted to the Victoria General Hospital with a serious head injury on December 7, 1994.
Investigators believe he was assaulted near his home on Belle Aire Terrace. The incident was never reported to police.
Medical staff filed a report with HRP on December 12 of that year. Siddle died of his injuries on December 13.
“We hope that the passage of time will encourage someone to do the right thing and come forward with what they know about Shane’s murder,” said HRP in a news release.
They say even the smallest piece of information may be what is needed to advance the case.

The case is part of the Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
