Police charge man for breaching prohibition order

Regional police have charged a man for a breach of prohibition order in connection to children.

At around noon on Thursday, police received a report of a man verbally harassing a youth at the Captain William Spry Community Centre in Halifax.

Police say they determined the man was was in breach of his prohibition order, which included conditions for him not to contact a person who is under the age of 16-years-old and not be present at a community centre.

He was arrested at the scene without incident.

Gadi Habumugisha, 36, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court Friday to face two counts of breach of a prohibition order.
