Officers were called to Robie Street north of Young just before 7 p.m., where they found a man who had been stabbed. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe two men were committing a home invasion when they were confronted by a resident. “An altercation occurred resulting in the death of one of the men attempting to invade the home,” said police in a news release. “The other man fled the area but later turned himself in to police.” Police do not believe it was a random incident. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Anthony Robert Herritt. Two men were arrested at the scene, both have been released from custody. “Criminal charges are not being considered at this time in relation to the death,” HRP added.
