Police ask for public’s help with North Preston homicide investigation

Police are asking for the public’s help in connection to a homicide that took place in North Preston back in May.

On May 8, shortly before midnight, Mounties received a report that a man had been shot near Downey Road.

Officials said when they arrived, they found a 36-year-old Tyler Beals, of Westphal, with gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

“Mr. Beals’ homicide remains unsolved and we need information from the public to advance the investigation,” said Cpl. Ryan McCarron of CID. “If you were in the area of Downey Rd. on May 8, or have any details about the events leading up to or after the shooting, please reach out to us; your voice could help bring closure to his grieving family.”
