Parking pay stations working again after being out of order Thursday morning (update)

UPDATE: Halifax Regional Municipality says the issue has been fixed and the pay stations are once again working properly. Parking will still be free for the rest of the day with enforcement resuming Friday, Dec. 16.

On street parking is unexpectedly free Thursday morning.

In a social media post, the Halifax Regional Municipality says parking pay stations are currently out of order and not accepting payments.

“Please do not use them to pay,” the 9:30 a.m. tweet said.

“Until resolved, paid parking will not be enforced.”
