The rain and above-zero temperatures that we saw for most of Sunday and through the overnight hours will taper off, and the mercury will plummet, dropping to -5C by Monday afternoon in HRM. 95-7 NewsRadio Weather Specialist Allister Aalders says the deep freeze will take over Monday night, with lows expected to hit -12C, a drop of 20 degrees from Sunday’s high of +8C. With the wind factored in during the overnight hours, it will feel like -22C.
