Nova Scotia is spending $10 million over the next two years to bring more technology into the Province’s classrooms.
During a Wednesday visit to Clayton Park Junior High in Halifax, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development Becky Druhan announced the EdTech Refresh Plan. A plan the government says is designed to buy things like Chromebooks, iPads and laptops for classrooms, along with more support for the Nova Scotia Virtual School.
“This investment will make a real impact in our classrooms,” said Druhan. “Students will benefit from Chromebooks and other classroom technologies that will provide them opportunities to explore and learn with modern learning tools for our digital world.”
The program will see $4 million spent this year and an additional $6 million next year.
