Nova Scotia reported a drop in COVID-19 deaths and positive tests in the month of April.
According to the latest monthly report, there were 12 COVID-19 deaths in April which is down from 18 the previous month.
Of the 12 deaths that occurred in April, 10 were in people aged 70 years and older and 5 were people living in a long-term care facility.
There were also 895 PCR positive results down from 1,299 in March.
Despite those drops, the province saw an uptick in hospitalizations with 89 in April, up from 70.
