That’s according to the Progressive Conservative Caucus, which says the utility faces questions at Tuesday’s meeting of the Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee. A media release says the company will answer concerns of inaccurate billing and an overall loss of trust from the public. “Nova Scotia Power has failed to protect the information of Nova Scotians, and now the public has lost trust in the accuracy of their bills,” said Kyle MacQuarrie, MLA for Inverness and member of the Natural Resources and Economic Development Committee. “Nova Scotians deserve answers, and our PC team looks forward to asking questions on behalf of our constituents.” Earlier this year, Nova Scotia Power was the subject of a cybersecurity breach, which the company later reported could have impacted personal data of past and present customers.
