Halifax Fire and Rescue were called out to a three-unit walk-up type building in the 3000 block of Windsor Street in Halifax Thursday afternoon.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a small fire on the outside of the north wall of the structure and were able to put out the flames quickly.

HRFE says the fire was contained to the outside only in an area between the exterior cladding and the actual structure of the building.

There was no fire or smoke damage reported inside the building.

Residents of the building were allowed to return to their homes after the scene was cleaned up.

No injuries were reported.
