The RCMP said the crash happened near the intersection of Grand Desert Station Rd. and Hwy. 207 in Grand Desert, at about 3 a.m. According to police, a GMC Sierra had been travelling east on the highway when it left the road and ended up in a ditch. The 76-year-old driver was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. The highway has now reopened.
