Finance and Treasury Board minister Allan MacMaster will be outlining major spending plans for government. It will be the first capital plan for the PC government. The party was elected on a big-spending platform including a promise to run deficits in order to pump money into the province, most notably the ailing health care system. The last look at Nova Scotia’s finances in December showed a $108 million surplus. MacMaster at the time pointed to one-time tax revenue boosts and a stronger-than-expected economy due to the province’s response to COVID-19. But as legislature returns this week and we move closer to seeing this year’s budget. the premier is warning not to expect that surplus to stick around. Houston this week said he was clear during the election Nova Scotia would be facing significant deficits in the early years of his government, and he says the upcoming budget will be consistent with that messaging. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Political scientist Lori Turnbull says confidence and supply deal is unnecessary next post Two charged following protests outside home of N.S. top doctor (update) You may also like بلير لا يرى ’’تهديداً حقيقياً‘‘ في كلام ترامب... 12 فبراير، 2025 حملة لرؤساء حكومات المقاطعات والأقاليم الكندية في واشنطن 12 فبراير، 2025 جزيرة الأمير إدوارد كَمدخل للحياة في كندا 12 فبراير، 2025 فورد يدعو من واشنطن الولايات المتحدة وكندا إلى... 12 فبراير، 2025 Halifax Infirmary emergency department to install metal detector:... 12 فبراير، 2025 ‘Messy weather’ expected Thursday with snow, freezing rain... 12 فبراير، 2025 Halifax council approves motion to look at moving... 12 فبراير، 2025 Halifax budget process begins with fire and police... 12 فبراير، 2025 Calls for transparency after report shows N.S. spent... 12 فبراير، 2025 Trudeau says Canada will push back on U.S.... 11 فبراير، 2025
