The free passes will be available to all students in grades 7 to 12 in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education and CSAP. “Through the Student Transit Pass Pilot Program, we are making life more affordable for families,” said Becky Druhan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development. “The program gives students the independence to travel to and from school, as well as explore and learn about their community. And it promotes sustainability by getting students familiar with the public transit system.” Government says the program, which comes at a cost of $1.2 million from the province and $600,000 from Halifax, will see more than 28,000 students receive passes. Since 2021, the province had been running a pilot program of free transit passes at 10 schools. باريس تلاحق شقيق مؤسس تليغرام next post Nova Scotians overwhelmingly support cellphone bans in schools You may also like Police involved in power pole crash while chasing... 28 أبريل، 2026 Three drivers in HRM charged with stunting 2026 Manitoba man killed in Shubenacadie car crash 27 أبريل، 2026 Prime Minister Mark Carney announces Canada’s 1st sovereign... 27 أبريل، 2026 Power restored after thousands in the dark in...
