Fourteen new locations are being added to the program, which will bring the total number of pharmacies in the program up to 45. Alison Bodnar with the Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia says people can access lots of services through pharmacies. “Things like prescription renewals, urinary tract infection (UTI) assessment and contraception management, but they’ll also be able to book appointments for things like common ailments, pink eye, eczema, allergies, chronic health conditions, including the prescribing of medication and the order of all necessary tests,” Bodnar said.
