There were some long waits on Monday as more Nova Scotians tried to book their booster shot.

Bookings opened early Monday morning to people 30 and up who’ve gone six months since their second dose.

Premier Tim Houston says about 92,000 appointments were opened, and those were largely gone by Monday afternoon.

“The federal government has committed supply to us, so we have enough for everyone over the coming weeks,” Houston explained. “The key to opening even more appointments remains human resources. I want to thank everyone who raised their hand and stepped up to help out, last count I had was over 1,000 individuals came forward to help.”

Houston says if you didn’t manage to book a booster you should keep trying over the coming days as more openings will be coming.

He adds government will try to let people know if large numbers of appointments are added.
