According to police, the investigation kicked off after a tip from U.S. law enforcement officials about a Nova Scotian trying to buy a prohibited firearm online. “Federal Policing received a tip from Homeland Security Investigations that an individual in the Millbrook area was trying to buy a Glock 19, which is a semi-automatic pistol, from the United States via a social media platform,” says Superintendent Jason Popik, Federal Policing Criminal Operations Officer with the Nova Scotia RCMP. “As a result of this information and our subsequent investigation, we executed a search warrant at a residence and made two arrests.” Police allegedly seized 17 unsecured firearms and ammunition, two prohibited 9mm over-capacity magazines, a 3D printer, filament, and tools for manufacturing firearms and more than 225,000 contraband cigarettes from the home in Millbrook First Nation. A 51-year-old man and a 15-year-old have been charged with a long list of offences and police said the youth was in possession of a 3D printed firearm at the time of thier arrest. Both have court appearances set for May. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Juno Awards weekend finally arrives in Halifax next post Nova Scotia strikes deal with private company for renovated health centre You may also like Body of missing youth recovered from Eden Lake 2025 Two children, 6 and 4, missing in Pictou... 3 مايو، 2025 N.S. makes increased illegal burning fine permanent 3 مايو، 2025 Large search underway for young kayaker in Nova... 3 مايو، 2025 Prime Minister Carney to meet with U.S.
