Man suffers life-threatening injuries in shooting on Robie Street: Police

Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is investigating a shooting that happened in central Halifax on Monday night.

Police initially warned the public of an injured person in the area of Robie Street and Quinpool Road just after 9 p.m. Monday.

In an update Tuesday morning, police said a man was found with gunshot wounds at about 8:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Robie Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

No further information was provided as police said the investigation was still in the early stages.
