Regional police have charged a man following a break-in situation in Halifax on Wednesday.

At roughly 11:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a man who entered a secure parking garage in the 1000 block of Tower Road, where several vehicles were damaged and had been rummaged through.

Police say they found the suspect a few hours later, arrested him and recovered the stolen property.

According to HRP, 26-year-old Travis Joshua Thompson was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court to face charges of break and enter, theft under $5,000 and bail violations, among others.
