Man charged in gas station convenience store robbery

Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in a gas station convenience store robbery that took place last week.

Police were called to the Circle K Irving on Fairfax Drive at Lacewood Drive at around 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25.

They say a man pushed an employee before grabbing some cigarettes and running out of the store.

The staff member wasn’t physically injured.

Officers searched a Parkland Drive residence on Friday and arrested a suspect.

The 31-year-old has been charged with robbery.
