At roughly 1:15 a.m. on Dec. 24, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance involving several people on Brunswick Street in Halifax. Officers found Ryan Michael Sawyer, 31, unresponsive on the sidewalk just east of Brunswick on Prince Street. Police say he was transported to hospital where he later died. Alexander Pishori Levy, 37, was arrested on Wednesday after he turned himself in at HRP headquarters.
