Regional police have charged a man in connection to a robbery at a Shoppers Drug Mart on Sunday.

At roughly 11:40 a.m., officers responded to the drug store on Wyse Road in Dartmouth where a man entered the store, stole merchandise, threatened staff and then fled on foot.

He was found in the area a short time later and arrested after a short foot pursuit.

Police say he provided a fake name when he was arrested.

Justin Russell Stroud, 27, was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Monday to face charges of robbery, obstruction and failing to comply with conditions of a court order.
