A 35-year-old man is being accused of making a false 911 call.

At around 11:15 p.m. Friday, Halifax Regional Police were told shots had been fired in the area of the Bedford Highway and Kearney Lake Rd.

However investigators now believe they were given false information.

Cory David Brown has been charged with mischief and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at later date.
