Macdonald bridge will be closed this weekend

You’ll have one fewer option to cross the harbour this weekend.

Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) says the Macdonald will be closed for the weekend for resurfacing work.

The span will close at 7 p.m. on Friday Aug. 18 and reopen at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.

The bike lane is also going to be closed from Friday at 7 p.m. through Saturday at 7 p.m. HHB was asking cyclists to walk their bike in the pedestrian lane through the closure.
