Macdonald Bridge Meghan Groff CityNews Halifax CANADAHALIFAX news Macdonald Bridge to shut down this upcoming weekend by admin 24 أغسطس، 2023 written by admin 24 أغسطس، 2023 137 By CityNews Halifax Staff Crews will be working to complete a bearing replacement on the Macdonald Bridge this weekend. The bridge will close to traffic at 7 p.m. on Aug. 25 and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Aug. 28 at 5:30 a.m. Both the bike lane and sidewalk will also be closed at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25 for approximately three hours, as the bridge deck needs to be jacked up for the bearing replacement. Once that happens, HHB says the bike lane and sidewalk will reopen. The active transportation lanes will also be closed from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday while the bridge is being lowered back down. In a release, HHB says the bearings are critical in allowing the bridge deck to move slightly as vehicles pass over. During this weekend’s closure, the work may not visible as on other weekends since crews will be operating underneath the bridge deck. All closures and maintenance work is weather dependent and subject to change. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Ottawa to buy ferry for route between P.E.I, N.S., will build 2 more ferries by 2028 next post دلال البزري تكتب عن: “الصبر الاستراتيجي” الإيراني برنامجاً لانتخاب الرئيس اللبناني You may also like الليبراليون ينتخبون زعيماً جديداً في 9 مارس وجولي... 11 يناير، 2025 بواليافر لانتخابات تمنحه تفويضاً واضحاً ليتحدث إلى الأميركيين 11 يناير، 2025 New Brunswick man charged in killings of two... 11 يناير، 2025 After N.S. wildfires, province brings in new tax... 11 يناير، 2025 P.E.I. oyster farmers fear without government help, MSX... 11 يناير، 2025 Drivers digging deeper to fill their tanks: Fuel...
