MacDonald Bridge closed until further notice due to damaged crane

The MacDonald Bridge is closed until further notice due to a damaged crane at a nearby construction site.

Halifax Harbour Bridges put out a statement, saying the closure affects all vehicle traffic, pedestrians and cyclists.

Halifax Regional Police say they are assisting the Department of Labour on scene of a damaged crane in the in the area of Faulkner Street in Dartmouth.

As a result, the area around Faulkner Street, Lyle Street, Windmill Road and Wyse Road is closed until further notice.
