A Lower Sackville teen has been charged with stunting.

RCMP say an officer pulled the 19-year-old man over late Monday after radar registered his vehicle’s speed at 167 km/h in a 100 km/h zone of Highway 101.

He was handed a  $2,422.50 and his licence was suspended for a week.

In addition, the vehicle was seized, so he and his passenger had to arrange another ride to their destination.

“Driving at high rates of speed can have life-altering affects in a split second,” said Mounties in a news release. “Reduce serious injuries and fatal collisions by respecting speed limits.”
