A Lower Sackville man is facing charges over what the RCMP is describing as hate-motivated threats.
The Mounties say on Jan. 24, a man allegedly defaced a Pride flag and made threats toward the 2SLGBTQI+ community and employees at a Sackville Dr. business. Police allege the man returned the next day and made further threats.
A 39-year-old man was arrested on Jan. 26 at a home on Smokey Dr. The nature of the threats, police say, led to officers executing a search warrant at the man’s home, where a pellet gun, two hand guns and three long guns were seized.
The man has been released on conditions and is expected to appear in court on Feb. 28 to face charges of mischief and uttering threats.
