Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency crews were called to a residence on Smokey Drive at 11:40 p.m. following reports of a fire. Officials said when crews arrived, they found heavy flames on the exterior of the single-storey home, which had begun to spread inside. Crews managed to knock down the fire by midnight. All occupants evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
