CANADAHALIFAX news Large waves and pounding surf expected along Atlantic coast Monday morning by admin 11 مارس، 2024 written by admin 11 مارس، 2024 309 CITYnews halifax / By Dan Ahlstrand The rainfall warning that was in effect for HRM and most of mainland Nova Scotia over the weekend has ended, but the impacts of Sunday’s weather will still be felt along the Atlantic coast Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of the potential of large waves Monday morning. The national forecaster says large waves and pounding surf will produce higher-than-normal water levels along the coast, primarily near high tide. These large waves can cause coastal erosion in vulnerable areas and damage infrastructure along the shoreline, especially at locations that have been prone to impacts during similar events.
