Police say officers were called to reports of an overturned kayaker on Eden Lake at about 5 p.m. on Thursday. The Mounties say two youth, known to each other, were paddling on the lake in separate kayaks when one of them overturned, submerging the youth. Several ground search and rescue teams from around Nova Scotia are involved in the ongoing search, along with resources from the province and the RCMP, including the underwater recovery team.
