On the morning of Oct.12, RCMP officers were called to a five-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Wolfville. According to a release issued at the time, police said an eastbound transport truck slammed into four vehicles stopped for construction on the highway. Two people, a 62-year-old woman and a child from East Kingston, were killed in the crash. Another person in the same vehicle, a 40-year-old woman, suffered life-threatening injuries. Police now say on May 16, Jeffery Doyle, 52, of Kentville was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal negligence causing death, three counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, and five counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance.
