Kimber Leanne Lucas (Halifax Regional Police) CANADAHALIFAX news Investigation into homicide of pregnant Halifax woman continues 30 years later by admin 24 نوفمبر، 2024 written by admin 24 نوفمبر، 2024 240 CITYnews halifax / By Rachel Morgan Halifax Regional police continue to investigate the murder of Kimber Leanna Lucas, 30 years after the day of her death. Lucas’ body was found on Nov. 23, 1994 shortly before 9 a.m. at the rear of 5783 North St. in Halifax. Police later ruled her death a homicide. Preliminary investigation determined that Lucas was in the area of North St. and Maitland St. between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30. a.m. on the day of her death. She was also seven months pregnant at the time. Investigators say they believe there are people who have information that could help solve Lucas’ murder and hope that the passage of time will encourage someone to do the right thing and come forward with what they know. Police are asking anyone with information in relation to this homicide case to contact police at 902-490-5020. The case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes.
