The price of diesel fuel in Nova Scotia spiked overnight after the province’s Utility and Review Board invoked the interrupter clause on Friday afternoon.

Diesel went up by 10 cents per litre overnight to 1.84.

“This change is necessary due to significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil,” the UARB said in a news release.

The price of gasoline remains the same at 166.6 per litre.
