Officials said it happened July 3 at about 8:00 p.m. on Shore Road in Inverness County. Police were told an ATV left the road and was found in a ditch. The impact of the crash threw the 19-year-old passenger from the vehicle. The Long Point woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital, RCMP’s release reads. A Port Hawkesbury youth was uninjured and while interacting with Mounties exhibited signs of impairment. In the breath samples on the road, police said he failed the screening device.
