There are many superhero characters such as Batman, Spiderman, Wolverine, etc. these all imaginative superhero icons are undeniable & unique with their special powers but all of they have one common thing! They all wear masks to hide their original identity. Whether you’re a kid or an adult person, you also want to create your own mask to exactly look like your favorite superhero. So, How about making your own mask with nothing but just cardboard & the rest of the decoration material around your home to bring a look of a real superhero.

The Material You Need: Making a real superhero mask is not going to run out of your budget, All you need just a cardboard, measurement tape, pencil, newspaper, glue, paint brush, colors & the rest of decoration material around your home. Steps to make a cardboard mask (Here we’ll make a Loki mask to cover your whole face that was first time introduced to viewers in Movie “The Mask”) Take a rectangular cardboard piece: Take a cardboard box.

Carefully cut a rectangular piece of it, remember it should be larger than your face size to print & cut a layout of the mask. Measure your Face Dimensions: It’s the most important step of making your own mask! You have to measure the dimension of your face to sketch a layout of the cardboard piece. Thus follow the below-mentioned steps Use a measuring tape to horizontally measure the distance between your one ear to the other on the front side. Remember; pass the tape upside the nose to have enough space to accommodate your nose.

Use a measuring tape to vertically, measure the distance between the foreheads to the lower part of the chin on the front side. Draw an Outline Sketch: This could be a little tricky, but easy if you’ll imagine your face dimension first! First of all, use a ruler to draw the horizontal & vertical measurements of your face in “+” shape on the cardboard piece. Remember, make a mark 1 inch extra below the lines to not to run out of place during cutting.

Now draw a spherical shape around this sketched “+” sign measurements to easily accommodate your face. Sketch the Outline of the Eyes & Mouth: Your superhero mask must contain eyes & mouth to look real! Thus, first measure the distance between your eyes & mouth length. Now use a ruler to draw eyes & mouth layout sketch on the cardboard. Cut sketched Holes for creating Eyes & Mouth: Carefully use a craft knife to cut holes for sketched eyes & mouth. Remember; don’t forget to give the edges a sharp ending to look like a real one.
