MV Saaremaa, a temporary replacement ferry, is less suited to the sometimes rough conditions on the Northumberland Strait than the MV Confederation, which will complete its runs as normal. As a consequence, there will be just four return crossings between Wood Islands and Caribou. Environment Canada has issued a strong wind warning for the Northumberland Strait. In the eastern half, winds are expected to blow at about 50 km/h throughout the day. The Saaremaa was brought into service on the strait to replace the MV Holiday Island, which caught fire during a run in 2022. The ferry was beyond repair, and had to be scrapped. The permanent replacement for the Holiday Island is not expected to be ready before 2028. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post أداءات تمثيلية مذهلة في أعمال تلفزيونية هزيلة next post Frustrated South Rawdon residents want bridge back after waiting over a year You may also like Nova Scotia sees 35 per cent drop in... 9 يناير، 2025 Will Lebanon finally elect a president after a... 9 يناير، 2025 Man wanted for homicides in Colchester County arrested... 9 يناير، 2025 Mounties investigate shots fired in Cole Harbour 9 يناير، 2025 Halifax murder trial: Eyewitness describes fatal stabbing of... 7 يناير، 2025 Halifax police look for missing 35-year-old man last... 7 يناير، 2025 Family doctor waitlist numbers drop, Nova Scotia Health... 7 يناير، 2025 Man in his 70s killed at crosswalk; HRP... 7 يناير، 2025 Former volunteer pleads guilty to fraud after funds... 7 يناير، 2025 ترودو أَنجَز للأمم الأوَل ’’أكثر من أيّ رئيس... 7 يناير، 2025
