A Halifax woman is among those charged with attempted murder in a stabbing in Kings County.

RCMP were called when a 26-year-old Windsor man with stab wounds arrived at a hospital in Windsor at 8:30 a.m. last Tuesday.

Investigators were able to determine the incident happened on Bishopville Rd. in Bishopville, and they believe it was targeted.

The victim’s injuries were serious, but non-life threatening and he was able to identify two suspects.

“RCMP investigators also determined that a third suspect had attempted to aid the two suspects involved in the stabbing,” police allege in a news release.

Mounties then arrested a 67-year-old Hantsport man outside a home on Riverview Rd. in Hantsport, and they say a search of the property turned up firearms, ammunition and cleaning supplies.

Police also seized a vehicle they believe was used during the stabbing.

Last Thursday afternoon, Mounties arrested two suspects they believe were involved in the stabbing, a 41-year-old Liverpool man and a 22-year-old Halifax woman.

All three — Eric Hubley, 41, Lexus Young, 22, and Arnold Clifton Messervey, 67 — have been charged with:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder;
  • Aggravated Assault;
  • Assault with a Weapon (two counts);
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose;
  • Uttering Threats;
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
  • Contravention of Firearms Storage Regulations;
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order

In addition, Messervey is facing a charge of unauthorized possession of a firearm. He has been released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on September 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Hubley is also being charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of failure to comply with conditions of a release order.

He’s been remanded into custody and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on August 29 at 9:30 a.m.

Young has also been remanded into custody and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on August 25 at 9:30 a.m.
