Project 8, the brainchild of former Canadian international Diana Matheson, announced last week that six franchises have submitted applications to Canada Soccer to join the new league. Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto were the first to come on board. The Atlantic Women’s Football Club (AWFC) is the first of three new teams to be revealed. Courtney Sherlock, the co-founder and CEO of the Halifax entry, calls the announcement “a pivotal moment for our community, offering a platform for women in soccer to shine and inspiring the next generation of talent.” Halifax is already home to the CPL’s Halifax Wanderers. Matheson’s plan is to field eight teams starting in 2025. — This report by The Canadian Press was first published April 9, 2024 The Canadian Press 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post New Brunswick patient found slumped in chair after waiting seven hours, inquest told next post جهاز الاستخبارات أبلغ ترودو في 2021 و2022 عن تدخلات أجنبية You may also like More than 50,000 Canada Post workers officially on... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 Two weeks after fatal Halifax bus crash councillor... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 Small drop to gas prices in Halifax this... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 Flooding causes damage at QEII emergency department 15 نوفمبر، 2024 الحكومة الفدرالية تخصص 575 مليون دولار لبناء شقق... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 كندا: تحدّي الوقاية من إنفلونزا الطيور بعد ظهور... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 فوز العمدة الجديد في ريجاينا يشكّل مفاجأة 15 نوفمبر، 2024 Thousands being asked to conserve water due to... 15 نوفمبر، 2024 RCMP rolls out body-worn cameras for officers nationally 15 نوفمبر، 2024 HRM staff revising saltwater plan amid high levels... 15 نوفمبر، 2024
