Halifax Regional Police search for suspect in Dartmouth stabbing

HALIFAX REGIONAL POLICE

Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an injured male with stab wounds in the 600 block of Portland Street Dartmouth around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Patrol officers located a male with non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Officers confirmed an unknown person injured the male during an altercation in near Alderney Drive and Ochterloney Street area of Dartmouth.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 20-30 years of age.

He was wearing a black jacket, hooded shirt and blue jeans.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is in the early stages.
