Shortly after 6 p.m., officers responded to a robbery inside Scotia Square. Police say a man assaulted a person and stole their property before fleeing on foot. Later that hour, officers responded to an assault on Barrington Street involving a man matching the suspect’s description in the robbery. The suspect stabbed a person known to him, and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers arrested the suspect a short time later.
