The suspect stabbed a person known to him, and the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested the suspect a short time later.

John Travis MacKinnon, 32, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court Monday to face charges of robbery, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence.
