Gold River man faces charges after allegedly pointing firearm

RCMP in Lunenburg have charged a man with firearms offences after an incident in Gold River on Aug. 6.

Mounties responded around 10:15 p.m. to a report of four men fighting in Gold River, where officers learned one man had allegedly pointed a firearm at another man.

A 70-year-old local man was arrested at the scene and no one was hurt in the incident, say police.

Ronald Lorne Paul now faces a pair of weapons-related charges and a charge of uttering threats and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on Oct. 11, 2023.
