Between Jan. 5 and Jan. 10, RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment and Halifax Regional Police (HRP) responded to four reports of fraud where a group of men were canvassing door-to-door offering homeowners chimney repair services. Now in a press release from officials, police say they have received reports of similar scams from Nov. 27, 2025 to Jan. 15. They then would say repairs were needed and get a large sum of cash for the project. “The information gathered indicates that the masonry company is fictitious and that victims were referred to a very convincing construction website, leading them to believe the company is real,” RCMP said in a previous press release. The crew would then not return to the agreed upon project or would do a “subpar” job leaving the victim with damaged property. Police obtained two search warrants for homes on Battery Drive in Halifax and one on Hazelhurst Street in Dartmouth. The first one on Feb. 12 is where officers found four men who were arrested for fraud. The second one on Feb. 13 saw police seize documents that led them to believe the suspects were in the process of opening a fraudulent business. Luke, Charles, 23, Patrick Cash 38, Adam Lee Scott, 27, and Dan Thomas Doran, 18 were all charged with fraud under $5,000. The investigation is ongoing police note. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Prince Edward Island Premier Dennis King resigning from ‘most difficult job’ next post أبرز ملامح دراما رمضان 2025 في مصر You may also like Liberal platform promises $130 billion in new spending... 19 أبريل، 2025 Wanted man and second suspect arrested following early... 19 أبريل، 2025 on 5years Nova Scotians take a moment of... 19 أبريل، 2025 Health Canada recalls Life Brand Melatonin, Riva Acetaminophen... 19 أبريل، 2025 نوفا سكوشا تلغي اتفاقيات وعقود مع شركات أمريكية 19 أبريل، 2025 منع جمعية طلابية مؤيدة للفلسطينيين من الاحتجاج في... 18 أبريل، 2025 What’s opened and closed Easter weekend in HRM 18 أبريل، 2025 N.S. cancels U.S. supplier agreements and contracts worth... 18 أبريل، 2025 ‘You, sir, are not a change’: Party leaders... 18 أبريل، 2025 Man charged with sexual offences after incident at... 18 أبريل، 2025
